The 11th edition of the Art Now Fine Art Fair comes to a close
Sunday, October 4, 2026, marked the conclusion of the in-person portion of the 11th annual Art Now Fine Art Fair, held at Prairieland Park, Hall E in Saskatoon, with Art Now Online closing on October 12.
This year’s show featured hundreds of original artworks available for purchase from eight gallery exhibitors, showcasing Saskatchewan’s diverse line up of artists and artistic styles. Overall, the show welcomed more than 2,800 in-person visitors, along with over 9,000 visitors from across the world who explored the participating galleries through Art Now Online.
For the third consecutive year, the Saskatchewan Craft Council hosted Craft Is…An Elevated Craft Market, alongside Art Now offering visitors even more handcrafted artwork to explore.
Art Now 2026 kicked off on Friday, October 2, with an exciting Opening Night Reception. Attendees enjoyed an exclusive first look at the artwork available for purchase while taking in a live musical performance by Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra violinist, Talant Kosmosbekov, and enjoying appetizers and refreshments.
Artist talks began midday Saturday, giving attendees the opportunity to hear directly from artists about their practices and creative process. Featured speakers included artists Christine Code, Maia Stark, Dale Lowe, and Janaya McCallum.
Saturday also included a special award presentation, with Saskatchewan-based ceramic artist Charley Farrero receiving the 2025 Robert Jekyll Award for Leadership in Craft from the Canadian Craft Federation / Federation Canadienne des Metiers d’Art.
Throughout the weekend, Saskatoon’s own Funky Artsmiths led the Family Activity Centre where visitors of all ages had the opportunity to explore their creativity by drawing from a floral still-life. Instructors and studio assistants guided participants through the process, providing a welcoming space for families to engage with art.
On the evening of October 3, Art Now hosted its third annual Art Night Out, which featured live jazz music from Saskatoon band Turtlecat and the Jazz Pirates, and a record ten live artist demonstrations. Participating artists included Christine Code, Richmond Ametefe, Linsey Levendall, Janaya McCallum, Rachel Schafer, Yanina Eberhard, Blanche Johnston, Lindsey Love, Michaela Hoppe and DeLee Grant.
