Coming soon to the 6th Edition of the Art Now Fine Art Fair
There’s sure to be something for everyone at the upcoming Art Now Fine Art Fair. Not only will there be seventeen online booths brimming with art from September 16 until 26, but Art Now is excited to present even more panel sessions, artist talks, and our new ‘next gen creators’ programming. This year it is all online and accessible from anywhere in the world, and as always, there’s no cost to attend.

Opening Night Reception, September 16, 6 – 8 pm
The show kicks off with an online Opening Night Reception on September 16, open to all art lovers. Attendees will have a first look at over 500 pieces of original art from Saskatchewan’s best galleries, can chat live with the gallerists, and have the chance to win one of 16 door prizes. New this year, attendees will have a first look at One by One: Analysis of Selected Works featuring Curator and Arts Administrator, Jesse Campbell, and Artist and Arts Administrator, Zoë Schneider, MFA. Join the experts as they take a close look at one artwork from each exhibiting gallery.
Panel Sessions and Artist Talks, September 17-26
From September 17 until 26, Art Now will feature panel discussions on a variety of interesting and engaging topics and artist talks from notable artists such as Claude Morin, Molly Ratt, Dave Gejdos, and more. The full artist talk schedule is coming soon.
The panel discussions, curated by Jesse Campbell, Curator and Arts Administrator, will engage industry experts on a variety of topics. These sessions include:
An Analysis of Selected Works from each exhibiting gallery by Jesse Campbell and Zoë Schneider takes place in time for the reception on September 16 and will be available to watch anytime throughout the event.
Show & Tell: Connecting with Art (Live, September 17, 7 pm) will have participants Kimberly Fyfe, Artist Marie Lannoo, Author Yann Martel, and Curator Tarah Hogue, share stories of artworks that have nourished them and describe how their experiences with art fill life with beauty, solace, memory, and opportunities to form connections within ourselves and with others.
What does landscape in art and in this province really mean? Join panelists Felicia Gay, Michel Boutin, Mary Longman, and Katherine Boyer for Revisionist Landscape (Live, September 18, 10 am), a discussion that will provide an understanding of how contemporary Indigenous and Métis artists depict landscape, broadening our knowledge of the genre that shapes how we see and understand this nation.
In Culture C(l)ash: Can Indigenous Artists Make a Living Without Selling Out? (Live, September 19, 1 pm), artists who work in different media will share how their practices are shaped by personal cultural experiences, and the place of their identities and histories in contemporary art making. Join David Garneau, Lyndon Tootoosis, Donna The Strange, and Ruth Cuthand for this impressive panel discussion.
Finally, Art as Life: The Creative Process (Live, September 20, 7 pm) will offer a look into the lives of professional artists, touching on what drives them to create, their daily routines, the formation of ideas and styles, self-doubt and vulnerability, and how creativity grows from everyday experiences. Carole Epp will chat with artists Marcy Friesen, June Jacobs, Hanna Yokozawa Farquharson, and Laureen Marchand.
